SpiceJet – Gurugram, Haryana, India
booked a SpiceJet flight (SG 651) from Guwahati to Jaipur through Goibibo (Booking ID: GOFLDSTAHQFE4538090) scheduled for 27 December 2025.
The flight was clearly marked as “Flight not operational”, which confirms that this was an airline-initiated cancellation and not due to any fault from my side. As per DGCA guidelines, in such cases no cancellation fee or convenience fee should be charged to the customer.
However, despite this:
Goibibo wrongly deducted ₹900 as a convenience fee.
The refund amount is not reflecting in my Goibibo wallet or original payment source, even after cancellation confirmation.
I have emailed Goibibo multiple times and attempted to contact customer care, but there has been no response to emails and no proper resolution on calls.
This amounts to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice, as I am being charged for an airline’s operational failure and my refund is being delayed without justification.
I request:
Immediate refund of the wrongly deducted ₹900
Confirmation and completion of refund credit to my wallet/original payment source
Written clarification for charging any fee for an airline-initiated cancellation
I am attaching booking confirmation and refund screenshots as evidence.
