Hi,
I am filing this complaint against Zepto regarding serious negligence and deficiency in service that has caused me significant mental distress.
On 26-02-2026, I placed an order through Zepto for a Veg Puff. However, instead of the vegetarian item, I was delivered a Non-Vegetarian Chicken Puff. I have never consumed non-vegetarian food in my entire life due to my personal and religious beliefs. This incident caused me extreme emotional distress and mental agony.
Additionally, there was no proper packaging or identification indicating whether the product was vegetarian. Usually, vegetarian items are sealed with a green tape/mark to clearly distinguish them from non-vegetarian items. In this case, there was no such proper marking, which reflects serious negligence in packaging and quality control. Because of this failure, I unknowingly consumed part of the item before realizing the mistake.
Although the company refunded the product amount, a refund alone does not compensate for the trauma, emotional suffering, and distress I have experienced since the incident. I have not been able to eat properly after this occurrence.
I contacted Zepto’s customer support multiple times, but instead of resolving the issue, I am repeatedly being asked to wait. There has been no proper response, explanation, or accountability from the company. This amounts to clear deficiency in service and mental harassment.
