Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Gaurav agnihotri ,288 sanjay gandhi nagar nubasta kanpur Uttar pardesh , 208021, am filing this formal complaint against Mr. Prakhar bajpai (6394922872) & Mr. Sumit Mewati (9999770750) of RoomTailor | ARC & SQUARE Interior Design , (Reference: 12042025) for non-delivery of services despite collecting substantial payment in advance for interior work at my residential property located at 274 A , Regal, Shipra Sun city Indirapuram, Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh 201014

Agreement and Advance Payment:
On Issue Date :10-August -25, I engaged the services of the respondent for full interior work of my residential flat. The project was to be completed within 3 months from the date of agreement. As per mutual discussion and promised deliverables, As per the said aggrement they will paid 5000/day as a detention if work is not done under the given time period, I paid a total sum of approximately ₹10,00,000 to the contractor in multiple installments. These payments were made via Online/Cash.

Despite receiving the majority of the payment, the contractor has failed to:
  • Complete the carpentry, painting, and sanitary fittings
  • Install UPVC windows, grill fittings, electrical points, and the main steel door
  • Provide a final detailed quotation as promised
  • Replace broken tiles in the kitchen and finish flooring as committed.
The contractor has been consistently unresponsive, makes excuses such as unavailability of labor or materials, and has not provided valid updates for months. My family and I are mentally and physically harassed due to this situation, unable to move in properly or utilize the space.

We have repeatedly requested a refund of the remaining amount after deducting cost for the partially completed work. However, the contractor has refused to acknowledge these requests and is now avoiding all communication.

Final payment bill has been requested multiple times no update

I came across your complaint and read through it. You hired RoomTailor | ARC & SQUARE for full interior work at your Ghaziabad flat back in August 2025, paid nearly ₹10 lakh in instalments, and the work is still incomplete. Major things like carpentry, painting, electrical fittings, UPVC windows, the main steel door, and flooring are all left undone.

Despite a 3-month deadline and a ₹5,000/day penalty clause in the agreement, they've missed everything and are now avoiding your calls entirely. You've asked for a refund multiple times but received no response
