I had a team get-together and ordered a few items from Zepto, including an Epigamia Turbo 30g Malai Kulfi Milkshake along with other products.
I unknowingly offered this milkshake to someone, and only after it was fully consumed did I notice, while disposing of the bottle, that it had expired a couple of weeks ago. This is concerning given that it involves a consumable product.
Additionally, the same order also included a Phab Chocolate Berry Crunch Pocket 5g Mini Protein Bar, which was also expired. I did not initially highlight this separately, as I assumed it would lead to a similar response, and I discarded it.
I immediately contacted customer support to report the issue. However, despite clearly stating multiple times that the product had already been consumed, I kept receiving generic, templated responses suggesting a product exchange, which does not apply in this situation.
There was no clear acknowledgment of the concern raised, and the issue did not seem to be fully understood during the interaction.
To be clear, this is not about reimbursement. It is about product safety and ensuring better handling of such cases when they occur.
I have been a regular user of Zepto and have generally had a positive experience, which is why this instance stood out. I hope this can be looked into and handled more appropriately going forward.
