Dear HDFC Grievance Team,

I am writing to formally escalate a systemic issue regarding my HDFC Bank Credit Card (Ending in 0010) that has remained unresolved for a decade.

The Issue: Despite maintaining a clear track record and ensuring all outstanding amounts are paid in full, my credit card remains blocked. Whenever I contact Customer Care, representatives are unable to provide a specific reason for the block or cite the "Internal Policy" preventing the card's unblocking, demonstrating a lack of transparency.

Key Points of Contention:

  • Financial Clearance: There is currently zero outstanding on the card.
  • Lack of Communication: I have received no formal written communication explaining the grounds for this permanent restriction.
  • Duration of Grievance: This cycle of "calling and receiving no solution" has persisted for nearly 10 years, which is an unacceptable standard of service for a "Premium" banking institution.
My Demand: I request a final resolution within 7 working days. Specifically, I require:

  1. The immediate unblocking of my credit card.
  2. Or, a formal written explanation detailing the specific policy violation or internal criteria that justifies this 10-year restriction, so I may address it or take the matter to the Banking Ombudsman.
Please consider this my final attempt at internal resolution before I escalate this matter to the RBI Banking Ombudsman for "Deficiency in Service" and "Harassment."

Customer Details:

  • Full Name: R PRAMOD
  • Registered Mobile Number: 9738880997
  • Customer ID: 40612428
I look forward to a logical and prompt response.
