I am writing this email with deep frustration and mental agony to officially lodge a complaint against Revolt Motors regarding my Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle. I purchased this vehicle in August 2023 for Rs. 1,50,000/- by availing a loan. I have successfully paid off the entire loan amount, but unfortunately, the vehicle has turned out to be a complete waste of my hard-earned money.







Issues Facing and Timeline of Events:

Initial One Year: The vehicle performed well for the first year. However, right after that, multiple technical and spare parts issues began to crop up.

Drive Belt Issue: Initially, there was a major issue with the motor-to-wheel drive belt. When I approached your branches, I was repeatedly told that the spare part was unavailable. After being made to run from pillar to post for 2–3 months, I was forced to buy a belt from Amazon out of my own pocket just to keep the vehicle running.

Total Breakdown for 7 Months: For the last 7 months, my vehicle has been completely dead and parked in one spot. The motor is not working, and the charger is completely non-functional.

Battery Issues: Due to the persistent technical faults and non-availability of support, the original battery also developed issues. I had to remove the battery separately to prevent further damage. I have attached the photos of the vehicle parked idle, the removed battery, and its current state along with this email for your proof.

Gross Negligence by Chennai Branches: I have visited almost all the branches in Chennai, including Velachery (wheare I purchased it), Anna Nagar, and the recently opened Mulakadai branch. The response from every single branch is identical and pathetic: "No spare parts available, no manpower available." To my utter shock, some staff members even casually told me that they were planning to close down the branch and bluntly asked me to get the vehicle repaired outside.

Mental Harassment Due to Referrals: Based on my initial trust, 6 of my friends purchased Revolt bikes on my recommendation. Today, all 6 of them are facing the exact same issues and are questioning me. This has severely impacted my personal relationships and mental peace.

My Demand for Resolution:

I have spent Rs. 1,50,000 and paid my full loan, yet my vehicle has been completely useless for the past 7 months. I cannot tolerate this absolute lack of responsibility and fraudulent after-sales service anymore.


I hereby demand that Revolt Motors either:

Provide a full financial compensation/refund for the vehicle and the distress caused, OR

Replace my defective vehicle with a brand-new, fully functional vehicle immediately.

Final Notice before Legal Action:

If I do not receive a concrete solution and a proper response from your end within 7 days of this email, I will be forced to approach the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (Consumer Court) to claim full refund along with heavy compensation for mental harassment, legal expenses, and loss of commute.

I expect an immediate acknowledgement and a swift resolution to this matter.
