I am writing to raise a serious complaint regarding misrepresentation, fraudulent sale practices, and non-refund of my payment for an RO purifier booked through the official Eureka Forbes online demo request.

Incident Summary

  • I booked a product demo through the official Eureka Forbes website.
  • A sales representative visited my home and checked the TDS level of water.
  • He attempted to sell a different product directly, but I clearly informed him that I wished to purchase the specific product I had seen online.
  • He asked me to make the payment through a QR code, without providing any invoice, product details, or acknowledgement at that time.
  • Based on his assurance that the correct product would be delivered the next day and installed the following day, I made the payment.

Issues and Misconduct

  • No delivery or communication happened as promised.
  • The sales representative stopped responding to my calls and messages.
  • I received the invoice only after four days, and it reflected a different product, not the one I agreed to purchase.
  • When I questioned this, he falsely claimed that I had ordered the same product.
  • The incorrect product was later delivered but I refused to accept it, and it was returned on the spot.
  • Since then, the salesperson has blocked my number and has not responded at all.

Customer Care Response

I have contacted customer care more than 20 times. I am repeatedly told the case will be “escalated,” but no one from the senior team has contacted me. Recently, I was informed that since the payment was taken by the salesperson, it is considered an “offline purchase,” and they have no record of my details, which is unacceptable.

My Request

I demand the following with immediate effect:

  1. Full refund of my payment to the original payment mode.
  2. Action against the sales representative for misrepresentation and fraudulent behaviour.
