Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally escalate my complaint regarding the delay in the installation/activation of my Airtel Xstream TV connection.
I have already taken an Airtel Wi-Fi connection at my premises. However, even after 20 days, my Airtel Xstream TV connection has still not been installed/activated.
I have contacted Airtel Customer Care multiple times, raised service requests, and cooperated with the required technician visits. Despite repeated follow-ups, the issue remains unresolved and I have not received any satisfactory response or a confirmed installation date.
Today, I spoke with Mr. Dinesh Rathod (+91 99757 52244). He informed me that, after waiting for 20 days, I now need to pay another ₹500 and raise a new installation request because my previous request has allegedly been cancelled.
I strongly object to this. I had already raised the installation request and repeatedly followed up regarding the same. At no point was I properly informed that my existing request had been cancelled, nor was I provided with any information or confirmation regarding a new request.
Earlier, I was assured that the installation would be completed within two days. However, after 20 days, I am now being asked to pay ₹500 again and create a new installation request. This is unacceptable and appears to be an attempt to shift responsibility and possibly meet internal installation targets rather than resolve the customer's existing request.
Different Airtel representatives/departments are passing the responsibility from one person/department to another and providing inconsistent information. This has caused unnecessary inconvenience, loss of time and frustration.
I therefore request the Customer Grievance/Appellate Team to urgently intervene and resolve this matter.
Please provide me with:
The exact current status of my original Xstream TV installation request.
The reason why my original request was cancelled.
The date and time on which the original request was allegedly cancelled.
The reason why I was not informed about the cancellation.
A confirmed date and time for installation of my Xstream TV connection.
Clarification as to why I am being asked to pay ₹500 again for a new request.
Appropriate resolution for the inconvenience caused due to this prolonged delay.
I do not agree to making an additional payment for a new request without a proper explanation and resolution of my existing complaint.
I request you to treat this matter as urgent and resolve it without any further delay.
If the issue is not resolved appropriately, I will be compelled to escalate the matter to the National Consumer Helpline and other appropriate consumer grievance authorities.
I look forward to your prompt response and immediate resolution.
