Unjust Rejection of Claim under ProtectUOK Loan EMI Protection Policy – Request for Immediate Redressal

I purchased the Aditya Birla health insurance - group active health plan – Loan EMI Protection Policy (Policy No. GHI-HB-22-2124795,
71-22-00012-00-00) to safeguard my car loan EMIs in case of hospitalization.

I was hospitalized on 06/04/2025 at Life line hospital, gandhidham for a genuine medical emergency and submitted all required documents. My earlier claim under the same policy was approved and settled without issue.

However, this time the company rejected my claim, citing that the hospital was blacklisted. This reason is unjustified because:

1.⁠ ⁠At the time of my hospitalization, no public notice or list was available showing that the hospital was blacklisted.

2.⁠ ⁠During an emergency, a patient cannot verify blacklist status before admission.

3.⁠ ⁠The hospitalization, bills, and records are authentic and verifiable.

4.⁠ ⁠If the hospital is involved in malpractice, the insurer should take action against the hospital, not penalize the insured.

This rejection is a clear deficiency in service and unfair trade practice, causing financial and mental distress.

I therefore request immediate reconsideration and approval of my valid claim as per policy terms, along with suitable compensation for the inconvenience caused.
