I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the installation charges levied by the installation vendor deputed by SHARP for my newly purchased SHARP Air Conditioner, purchased from Vijay Sales, Ghaziabad. A copy of the purchase invoice is attached for your reference.
During the installation, authorized service personnel informed us that certain installation materials had to be procured before the work could commence. Accordingly, they collected the entire amount in advance from us, assuring us that an official bill would be shared by SHARP after the installation.
However, despite repeated follow-ups, the installation bill was provided only after a considerable delay. On examining the bill, we observed several discrepancies:

However, despite repeated follow-ups, the installation bill was provided only after a considerable delay. On examining the bill, we observed several discrepancies:
- The entire advance amount paid by us has simply been adjusted in the bill instead of providing a transparent item-wise calculation.
- There are apparent calculation errors while adjusting the charges.
- The bill does not mention the per-meter rates of the copper pipe, connecting power wire, drain pipe, and other installation materials, making it impossible to verify the correctness of the charges.
- We request SHARP to verify whether the rates charged by the installation vendor are in accordance with the standard installation price list approved by SHARP.
- Moreover, when I contacted SHARP Customer Support, I was informed that customers purchasing a SHARP AC through Vijay Sales are entitled to a concessional installation charge of ₹749 plus applicable GST. However, the installation bill issued to us includes an installation charge of ₹1,415, which is significantly higher than the amount communicated by your customer support. We request you to clarify the reason for this discrepancy and verify whether the correct installation charges have been applied.
- Approximately 7 feet of additional copper pipe,
- Approximately 7 meters of connecting power cable,
- Drain pipe,
- Electrical plug, and
- Other miscellaneous installation items.
Considering the above facts, we request SHARP to:
- Conduct a detailed verification of the installation charges levied by your authorized installation partner.
- Provide the approved item-wise rate list applicable for the materials used during installation.
- Explain the basis of each amount charged and rectify the apparent calculation errors in the bill.
- Clarify why the installation charge of ₹1,415 was levied instead of the applicable promotional charge of ₹749 plus GST for purchases made through Vijay Sales.
- Refund any excess amount found to have been collected after verification.
- Take appropriate action against the concerned installation vendor if any overcharging or billing irregularity is established.
