I am filing this complaint against Yatra.com regarding a wrongful deduction on the refund of my flight ticket, which was CANCELLED BY THE AIRLINE and not by me.
Booking / Refund details:
- Booking Reference Number: 0709260052174
- Refund ARN/RRN: 661611897517
- Refund processed on: 13 October 2026
- Passenger: Vishal Jaiswal
Payment summary (as per Yatra's original booking confirmation/invoice):
- Flight Price: Rs. 10,758
- Online Processing Fee: Rs. 880
- Total Amount Paid: Rs. 11,638
Grievance:
Since the flight was cancelled by the airline and not by me, I am entitled to a FULL refund of the entire amount paid (Rs. 11,638). No cancellation charges or non-refundable fees can be applied when the cancellation is initiated by the airline.
However, Yatra refunded only Rs. 5,993.99, wrongly deducting Rs. 3,672.01 as a so-called "non-refundable Online Convenience Fee." This deduction is unjustified. I had already written to Yatra (to Mr. Ashutosh Kumar and support@yatra.com) requesting clarification and a breakup of this charge, but received no satisfactory response.
Relief sought:
1. Full refund of the entire amount paid (Rs. 11,638), i.e., the balance of Rs. 5,644.01 still due to me after the partial refund already received.
2. Compensation for the delay, mental harassment, and deficiency in service, as the Court deems fit.
I request the Consumer Court's assistance in directing Yatra.com to refund the full amount, since the cancellation was entirely the airline's doing and no deduction is warranted.
