I am writing this complaint on behalf of my friend. She gave her expensive versace frame at the lenskart janakpuri store on 30th May for lens replacement - putting zero power blue-cut lens. The store promised a delivery date of 9th June. On 9th after multiple attempts to inquire on the whereabouts of the frame, they just closed the order and initiated store credit refund of 199. On calling the store again asking what had happened and why had they initiated this refund/cancellation she was informed that there was some error and power lenses had been put up on them and they will call for the frame back, add the correct lens and she’ll have to wait for a few more days. When this matter was further escalated, after multiple conversations it was then found that the lenskart had made an egregious error & apparently misplaced the frame.

Since then we have been in an ongoing conversation with lenskart, wherein they have accepted their fault and claim that the frames were lost. Lenskart is compensating in the form of their own vouchers. Our demand is that if Lenskart really wants to provide us with a compensation atleast provide it as a bank transfer/ prepaid card / amazon voucher so that we can buy the frame of the same brand which they so conveniently lost. They are not agreeing to it and are pushing for providing their own gift card which would be usable only at Lenskart stores for lenskart products. Our contention is Lenskart doesn’t sell the brands that we prefer, so Lenskart gift cards are of no use to us. They are persistant on providing us with their Gift cards only. What should be our next course of action to get compensation in a form that is useful to us.
