*Dear Director/CEO Mahindra South Africa,*
*Good Day!*
Trust that the Love & Grace of God Almighty is with you, all your loved ones, family and friends.
I *URGENTLY* need to speak to your and/or a senior delegate in regard of a very serious challenge I experience with a brand new Mahindra Top of the Range SUV, a white 2025 Mahindra Scorpio-n 2.2D (Z8L) 4XPLOR A/T6 I bought on Friday, 2 January 2026 from Mahindra East Rand Group p/a O2 Motor Company, Boksburg.
The SUV gave me challenges from the start / week 1 and were more at O2 Motor Company workshop for repair than at my home as my property but eventually when I got it back and greenlight to travel far; I went on a long outstanding visit to the Western & Northern Cape (Namaqualand).
The SUV almost cost me 3 x accidents. My spouse and I feel so shocked during these ordeals because it could have had fatal consequences to us and/or other road users enroute; especially at Vanrhynsdorp Pass (R27) and the Pikenierskloof Pass (N7).
Upington Mahindra could not solve the problem because the workshop manager at O2 Motor Company confirmed that MSA identified a serious challenge on these SUVs (4 of them) and made a undercarriage protection plate to replace the current one it came out with as standard. The newly made undercarriage protection plate allows for much more suitable wind distribution to the engine to cool it off, preventing the SUV to go into limp mode under pressure or sudden increase of speed during hot climates.
On my return to Gauteng my “new” SUV went immediately to the O2 Motor Company workshop and is there ever since. It seems there is a logistical and delivery challenge between MSA’s workshop and O2 Motor Company. It is more than a month later.
My spouse and family had such a bad shock and OHS experience that they do noy want us to own this “Brand New” PROBLEMATIC SUV anymore. I informed the owner/dealer principal of Mahindra East Rand Group and requested that we settle with a full refund and walk as friends away without dragging things through the mud and waist more time.
The owner/dealer principal indicated he cannot refund me in full but tasked his O2 Motor Company Pre-Owned Manager / assistant dealer principal to provide me with a buy back OTP but I must take note that MSA Headquarters are having a special sale promotion on the specific SUV at current which have a serious negative effect on the OTP vs the sales price I paid 3 months ago.
I indicated I am a pensioner and cannot take such financial loss. It is not my doing and a manufactures fault which they were aware of without informing me and still let me take a long journey, placing our life’s at stake. It is totally unfair to penalise me and put me through this agony as at present and I believe the CPA will support me as a honest customer.
I humbly requested that if there is no sympathy and understanding, with a current unacceptable buy back OTP; I request a private meeting between all involved as well as the CEO Mahindra and try one more time to resolve the case satisfactory.
Trust to hear from you soonest.
Have a blessed day.
*Kind regards,*
