Dear Sir,

I have a 4 kW rooftop solar system installed at my residence. According to the inverter/solar monitoring app, my system is generating approximately 20–22 units per day. However, the APEPDCL net meter is recording only 9–16 units per day as export.

During the period from May 2025 to July 2025, my house remained locked for most of the time, and the daily electricity consumption was less than 1 unit. Despite this, my electricity bills show import units and the exported solar energy has not been credited correctly. There is a significant mismatch between the export units recorded in the vendor-installed solar monitoring app and those recorded by the APEPDCL net meter.

This has resulted in an estimated loss of 10–12 units per day, amounting to approximately 300–360 units per month, causing substantial financial loss.

I have raised this issue several times with the Assistant Divisional Engineer (ADE) and the concerned APEPDCL officials, requesting a site inspection, but the issue remains unresolved. I also contacted the solar installation vendor, who confirmed that the solar system is functioning properly and informed me that the issue appears to be with the APEPDCL meter or its configuration. On the other hand, APEPDCL has stated that there is no fault on their side.
In addition to the above issue, my power supply is being disconnected almost every month without any prior intimation or notice. These frequent and unexpected power disconnections have caused severe inconvenience and have affected my family both mentally and physically. Despite having invested in a rooftop solar system and regularly paying my loan EMI as well as electricity bills, I continue to face unnecessary hardship due to the unresolved issues with the APEPDCL power supply and net metering system.

I request APEPDCL to immediately investigate the repeated power disconnections, ensure that no disconnection is carried out without proper notice, and permanently resolve the issues related to my solar net metering system. I also request compensation for the financial loss incurred due to the under-recording of exported solar energy and the repeated service interruptions.

Due to this unresolved issue, I am bearing the burden of paying both the monthly solar loan EMI and electricity bills, causing significant financial hardship to my family.

I kindly request you to:

  1. Conduct an immediate site inspection and testing of the net meter.
  2. Verify and rectify the meter CT connections, programming, calibration, or any other metering issue, if found.
  3. Compare the export data recorded by the solar inverter/app with the APEPDCL meter data.
  4. Credit the under-recorded export units and compensate the loss for the period from May 2025 to July 2025, based on the verified export units recorded by the solar monitoring system.
  5. Ensure that future export units are recorded accurately.
I request your immediate intervention to resolve this issue at the earliest and arrange recovery of the financial loss caused due to the under-recording of exported solar energy.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,
