Dear Sir,
Subject: Request for Immediate Inspection, Rectification of Net Metering Issue, and Compensation for Loss of Solar Export Units
I have a 4 kW rooftop solar system installed at my residence. According to the inverter/solar monitoring application, my system is generating approximately 20–22 units per day. However, the APEPDCL net meter is recording only 9–16 units per day as exported energy.
During the period from 15th May 2026 to 15'June 2026, my house remained locked for most of the time, and the daily electricity consumption was less than 1 unit. Despite this, my electricity bills continue to show import units, and the exported solar energy has not been credited correctly. There is a significant mismatch between the export units recorded by the vendor-installed solar monitoring application and those recorded by the APEPDCL net meter.
This discrepancy has resulted in an estimated loss of 10–12 units per day, amounting to approximately 300–360 units per month, causing substantial financial loss.
I have repeatedly reported this issue to the Assistant Divisional Engineer (ADE) and other concerned APEPDCL officials and requested a site inspection. However, the issue remains unresolved. I also contacted the solar installation vendor, who confirmed that the solar system is functioning properly and stated that the issue appears to be with the APEPDCL net meter, CT connections, or meter configuration. On the other hand, APEPDCL officials have informed me that there is no fault on their side.
In addition to this issue, my electricity supply has been disconnected almost every month without any prior notice or intimation. These repeated and unexpected power disconnections have caused severe inconvenience and have affected my family both mentally and physically. Despite investing in a rooftop solar system and regularly paying both the monthly solar loan EMI and electricity bills, I continue to suffer unnecessary financial hardship due to the unresolved net metering issue and repeated power interruptions.
I therefore request APEPDCL to kindly:
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Yours faithfully,

I therefore request APEPDCL to kindly:
- Conduct an immediate site inspection and testing of the net meter.
- Verify and rectify the meter CT connections, programming, calibration, or any other metering defects, if found.
- Compare the export data recorded by the solar inverter/application with the export data recorded by the APEPDCL net meter.
- Credit all under-recorded export units and compensate the loss for the period from November 2025 to July 2026 based on the verified inverter export data.
- Ensure that future export units are recorded accurately.
- Investigate the repeated power disconnections and ensure that no disconnection is carried out without prior notice or valid reason.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
