am having salary account in Union Bank of India Mehsana Highway Road Branch with A/С по 637702010001403. I attempted to transfer Rupees 35000/- through IMPS using Vyom application to the account of my relative i.e Gautambhai with A/c number 39729351873 on 16/04/2025. But, mistakably the amount was transferred to wrong Axis Bank account as the names are similar. The details of the wrong transaction are given below:

Wrong Payee Account Number: 915010026159205

IFSC Code of the wrong payee: UTIB0000247

My bank, Union Bank of Mehsana, reported claim settlement inquiry on 17/04/2025 and 06/05/2025 to Axis Bank but no respond has been initiated at your level. I personally visited the branch manager of Axis Bank GPO Patan Branch. The manager neither accepted my application nor gave any positive response to my query. This lead me to mental harrasment. Consequently I am compelled to lodge complaint to RBI Portal. The mount is already there in the account of Axis Bank but they put it under lien. How can a bank adjust the amount which was mistakably to unknown account in Credit card outstanding amout. Branch manager of UBI and I contacted the manager of Patan GPO Axis Bank Branch Manger to remove lien on 35000 so that money can be charged me back.

Kindly do needful and try your level best to refund amount and credit to my Union Bank Account 637702010001403 as soon as possible.

After following all the steps and submitting the wrong transaction complaint on your bank "Union Bank of India", one question still lingers - can I get my money back from a wrong bank transfer?

The funds will be credited back to your "Union Bank of India A/C 637702010001403" account automatically if the account number entered does not exist or is invalid.

However, if the "Axis Bank" account details are valid and the money goes through, the reversal of the funds will depend completely on the recipient.

And if the recipient of your funds provides permission to its bank for reversal of the transaction, then you should get your money back without much of a hassle.

The Branch Manager and bank officials of AXIS Bank GPO Patan branch (Gujarat) already visited the recipient's home. Subsequently, the recipient approached the branch and gave his consent to operate his account and return the said amount to my account that exist in Union Bank of India. The money has been kept under lien by the manager against the credit card of the recipient -Mr. Gautam. How can third party credit transaction can be adjusted against the minus balance of the account holder? The lien can be removed as per the advice I sought from my Branch manger of Union Bank of India, Mehsana branch who not only lodged online complaint but also talked to the branch Manager of AXIS Bank GPO Patan branch. But here the The manger of Axis bank seems negligent to return my money. Even when i visited the him in AXIS Bank GPO Patan branch on 11/06/2025 with written request he denied to accept my written application. Till that day he didn't open the complaint on his mail. Nonresponsive nature is clearly evident here. of as the complaint was lodged by UBI Manager 17/04/2025 and he hadn't seen till 11/06/2025 until my personal visit. I contacted him on his mobile Mobile 89 8080 2472 but Shri Jayendrasinh Jadeja, Senior Manager Branch Head Axis Bank Sri Dev Complex Station Road Opp. G.P.O. Patan – 384 265 seems adamant for not to refund 35000/- (Thirty Five Thousand) my wrong transaction money.

Please look into the matter and help me out to get my money and the compensation for the mental harrasment for such serious matter.
