In reference to order no 149927763977602945 from Meesho. I was supoosed to receive an order on may 11th, 2025. I have been waiting for it since long and suddenly I received a notification that my order is delivered. I didn't receive a single call from them regarding address or anything. This same incident is happening with me second time, when I've ordered a prepaid item and they said while delivering they have confirmed it with OTP. I've CCTV recording of the whole day that noboday showed up on my door. Infact I received an OTP at 7:30pm while they claimed that they have delivered it at 3pm. What a service Meesho. I request you to refund my Money because I have given you enough time to resolve this issue from your end. Either deliver my order or refund my money. I wont let it go this time.

The brief facts of the complaint are that on 02-12-2022 the Complainant placed online order for 5 graceful sheer curtains from the opposite party No.2 through opposite party No.1 vide order ID No0.963016280945 by paying an amount of Rs.1,625/-. On 10-12-2022 the opposite party No.2 delivered only one curtain instead of 5 curtains. Immediately after receiving the parcel the complainant informed the same to the opposite parties and demanded them to refund the amount. But she received an amount of Rs. 325/-only. On 15-12-2022 the complainant made a call to customer service and raised a complaint for refund of remaining amount of Rs.975/-. On 22-12-2022 the opposite party gave reply to the mail of complainant that they will arrange the remaining amount within two to three days. But they neither supplied the remaining curtains nor refunded the amount. It amounts to deficiency in service. The Complainant lost hope that she would receive the amount from the opposite parties without the lawful help of this Commission. Hence the complainant filed this complaint.

ORDER
In the result the complaint is allowed in part, directing the opposite parties jointly and severally to refund the remaining due amount of Rs.975/- (Rupees Nine Hundred and Seventy Five only) vide order ID No 963016280945 and further directed to pay Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) towards deficiency in services, damages and costs of litigation to the complainant. Comply this order within 45 days from the date of receipt of this order, failing which the complainant is having liberty to file petition under Sec.72 of Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

This complaint petition is filed u/S 34(1), 34(d), 35, 36 and 39 of the Consumer Protection Act’ 2019 at the instance of the Complainant on the allegation of deficiency of services on the part of the Opposite parties in a consumer dispute on e- Commerce.

The facts of the complaint case in a gist form is that the petitioner placed an order on 03.04.2022 for purchase of a pair of shoes for an amount of Rs. 429/- vide order ID no. 835399281099 through online shopping portal of an e-Commerce Company namely Meesho Inc. The article was received by the complainant on 09.04.2022. Being dissatisfied with quality of the article, a return request of the product was initiated by the complainant on 16.04.2022 i.e. within 7 days of receipt of the material as per return policy of the OP company. Vide their reply dated 18.04.2022 the OP company refused to accept the return of the article reasoning that an item is acceptable for return provided the customer opts within a timeframe of 7 days from the date of delivery which the OP company wrongfully assumed to be on 08.04.2022.

The OP is also directed to pay Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) only to the complainant as cost of litigation including paper publication.
