Dear Sir,

I am writing to formally request a replacement for my Oppo Reno 14 Pro (512GB), which I purchased from Harsha in Mangalore.

Despite the device's IP69 rating and advertised underwater photography capabilities, the phone suffered fatal liquid damage during a recent visit to a local water park. While my other device—an older iPhone with a lower IP67 rating—functioned perfectly in the same environment, the Oppo device began blinking and eventually ceased to function entirely.

I have attempted to resolve this through the Opposervice center in Mangalore, but my claim was rejected. The service team stated that their IP ratings are based on "lab testing" and do not cover real-world scenarios or water damage under warranty. As a professional in the IT security industry, I find this explanation unacceptable for a device marketed with an IP69 rating.

While the dealer, Harsha, has offered a 40% discount on a new purchase, I believe that as the manufacturer, Oppo should stand by its product's specifications and warranty. I am still completing the EMI payments for this device through IDFC Bank and expect a functional product (2emi out of 10emi are yet to settle).

I request that you review this case and provide a replacement for the damaged handset.

Regards,
Mahammad Mustafa
