Subject: Complaint Against Ola Electric for Defective Scooter, Poor Performance, and Unresponsive Customer Service

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Ola Electric (Ola Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd.) for supplying a defective electric scooter, failing to provide inadequate customer service, causing me significant inconvenience, financial loss, and mental distress.
### Details of Purchase
I purchased an Ola Electric Scooter S1X 3kw. from Cuddalore Ola show room on October 7 2024 through online but delivered on October 21 for INR 89762/- with delivery
Issues Faced:
1. Breakdown Incident: On 27 september 2025, I am swiggy delivery boy , while delivery a food to the customer and i travelled just 20 km, the scooter broke down at 9:00 PM, leaving me stranded. I attempted to contact Ola Electric’s customer care number (080-33113311) , ola cuddalore showroom manager and ola service center panruti were not available to take calls . After significant effort, I obtained a showroom representative’s personal number. This incident highlights the company’s failure to provide reliable emergency support.
1. Unresponsive Customer Service: I sent over 3 emails to Ola Electric’s customer support, starting from 28 september 2025, reporting the breakdown .I received no proper response from the company, demonstrating the company’s gross negligence and disregard for customer grievances. I went Ola service center, panruti on 29 september 2025, 10: 00 am. The technician Ola service center doesn't give proper explanation
I spoke Ola manager (service) Mr. Mugilan Ramesh ,Puducherry. The manager said, your Ola scooter problem solved in Puducherry service center ,so you should bring your scooter by yourself to Ola service center Puducherry but I refused to leave my ola scooter in Puducherry by your own expense (towing expense). I said can't pay for tow service for my scooter you should take care for towing my scooter. After a while they said we are going to close ola service, panruti due to lack of man power and customer of service . I filed consumer case on same date (29-09-2025) in National consumer helpline
The technicians admitted they could do no more because major part in scooter that is motor got failure . After a week I approached ola showroom (sales) ,cuddalore . The manager Mr. Anand said, it's not our concern better you approach Puducherry service center but I refused that I spoke to Ola manger Puducherry(service) already. The manger (sales) connected the call to Assistant manager Mr.prasanth Manivanan (service). The Asst manager spoke that your scooter problem can be solved 30- 40 days but I insisted my scooter should be put in service two to three days they didn't give proper answer about the service. I called for status of my scooter on October 5'th and 10'th the Ola asst manager said hub motor (new one) stock is not available from manufacturer it will take 1 Month if not the motor problem get solved within a week in ola service center, panruti. After a while the manager called to me bring scooter key to Ola service center to get temporary service that motor problem may be solved.
The defective scooter, coupled with Ola Electric’s irresponsible behavior, has caused me significant inconvenience, financial loss (due to repeated visits and transportation costs), and mental distress. The company’s failure to give service earlier and address my grievances violates my consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Still my scooter is on service center up to date (14 Nov 2025). The asst manger (service) said job card for hub motor may be dispatched on 15 Nov 2025 After delivery it will take two to three to get solved for your scooter
Relief Sought
1. Compensate me for the financial losses, mental agony, and inconvenience caused, amounting to INR 89,762
2. Cover litigation costs and any additional
