- I moved into the property on 1 February 2025.
- At the time of joining, I submitted a security deposit of ₹13,000 via the RENTok app.
- The PG management forced me to serve a two-month notice period, despite the policy being only one month. They claimed this was due to a “glitch” in the app.
- I served my notice from 1 November to 31 December 2025 and vacated the property on 1 January 2026.
- Upon vacating, I requested my security deposit refund. Initially, I was told it would be refunded within 15 days, then later within 15 working days.
- Even after more than a month, the refund has not been processed.
- The management now claims that the “owner has changed” and refuses to refund my deposit. However, the owner remains the same; only the manager has changed. The person I consulted at the time of joining is still the same individual managing the property.
- I have evidence that another tenant, who joined in the same month as me, has already received their security deposit refund.
- Misrepresented the notice period policy.
- Delayed and denied my rightful security deposit refund.
- Provided false information about ownership changes without informing tenants.
