COMPLAINT AGAINST RELIANCE JIO INFOCOMM LIMITED

Subject: Non-refund of ₹2,221.46 for cancelled Jio AirFiber order
Facts of the Case:
I booked a Jio AirFiber connection and paid an amount of ₹2,221.46 through UPI.
The order number allotted was NO0001DH3R6M.
On 15 May 2026, I received an SMS from Jio stating that the Jio AirFiber order had been cancelled and that the refund would be automatically credited to the original payment mode within 7 business days.
Despite the assurance provided by Jio, the refund was not credited within the promised period.
I contacted Jio customer care multiple times and was informed that the order had been cancelled and that I would receive the refund. During one of the calls, I was asked to wait for an additional 2 days. However, even after waiting, no refund was received.
I sent multiple emails to Jio customer care, Nodal Officer, Appellate Authority, and other escalation channels seeking refund status and a refund reference number. No satisfactory response or resolution was provided.
More than one month has elapsed since the cancellation of the order, yet the refund amount of ₹2,221.46 remains unpaid.
The actions of the opposite party amount to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice, causing financial loss, inconvenience, mental stress, and unnecessary hardship.
Relief Sought:
I respectfully request the Hon'ble Consumer Commission to:
a) Direct Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited to immediately refund ₹2,221.46.
b) Award compensation for mental agony, inconvenience, and deficiency in service as deemed appropriate by the Hon'ble Commission.
c) Award litigation costs and any other relief deemed fit in the interest of justice.
