Dear Sir,

We have taken Bajaj travel policy and traveled to Thailand on7th. October, 2024 night. On the 10th. my daughter Damayanti Mukherjee was sick having very high fever and was forced to take Aonang Clinic Krabi for treatment. We have paid THB 14762.99.
I have submitted a claim on the 10th. October itself with claim form medical report, laboratory test report, India exit Visa, Thailand entry Visa whatever Bajaj has asked for. From 10th. October to 31st. October, 2024; 21 days have passed. Till date the insurance company is not able to sort out the issue and make reimbursement.

On 30th. October, 2024 I have written to IRDA to intervene in the issue and resolve it as fast as possible. Also look into it that no insurance company in India dares to harass the customer.
Today they have rejected my claim telling that health issue is started before inception of policy. My point is policy is from 7th. October, 2024 till 21st. October, 2024. The health issue started on 10th. October, 2024 and doctor suggested for day care addmission for treatment. We had taken travel policy from Bajaj Allianz General Insurance travel policy where in medical treatment is covered. How, they can say it is started before inception.

Do they issued policy after health checked up? On what basis they can say like this. I want may lord should take strong action against Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and I claim of Rs 45,000/- from Bajaj Allianz General Insurance company against compensatation along with reiembursement.

Hello Biman Mukherjee,

As per the details you mentioned, this is the perfect case against Bajaj Allianz General Insurance.

You have all the bills, and I am really confused about the rejection reason. You can file a Consumer Case and ask the Bajaj Insurance for the claim and 5 lakh as a compensation.

If you need any professional support, feel free to call on 7982270319.

Thanks

Hello @Biman Mukherjee

As per the E-Mail from the Bajaj "As per attendingphysician statement patient admitted with complaints of fever ,cough ,nose blocked, sore throat since 4 days prior to admission and consulted in Indiafor same on 7th October 2024 which is prior to policy inception ."

Please explain...

Dear Sir,

7th. I consulted doctor in India not for same reason. Indian Doctor prescription is with me. She had very high fever more than 104 degree with throat infection (as per Thailand doctor) which is started suddenly on 9th. October, and it was severe on 10th. October, 2024.
My understanding is that I have taken travel policy so that any incident happend during travel outside India will be taken care of. It is not the duty of insurance company to find out that incidence started when. During travel anything happend should be procted. Anyway if we do not get justice this type of insurance company will cheat and loot the Indian people. There is no protection of Indian citizen by any law that this company should be blacklisted in India for doing business.

I want justice.

regards
Biman

Hello @Biman Mukherjee,

We are really sorry, but their are some terms and conditions of the Insurance companies.

We can help you in filing case in the Consumer Forum, but as per our suggestion your case will be rejected on very first day.

If you not agree with the rejection reason given by the Insurance Company, you can still file a case in Consumer Forum..
