Sir
I have taken a postpaid airtel mobile connection long time back and later switched over to Jio prepaid as airtel coverage was not good in my office area.
Subsequently I did not use for few months as I was out of country.
Presently I am in the country and tried to recharge the Jio and came to know from the Jio Customer care that the number was not used for more than 3 months and hence the connection is dis connected. Also as this number was originated from Airtel the number has been sent back by Jio to Airtel.
We contacted Airtel customer care, Panchavati mall complex , opp polimeras 3-5-943 Narayanguda, Hyderabad 500029. The individual there initially verified and stated that the number can be allotted as it is not allotted to anybody till date. So were pursuing the matter. To get the same number He asked us to submit the Aadhar card copy and we submitted aadhar card copy by whatsapp to his number 6309388970.
Subsequently the individual stated that we need to pay Rs 10,000/-. We had asked him to give in writing or an email or an sms stating that Rs 10,000 is to be paid to get back the number. The individual refused to send anything in writing. Later he stated that the matter was with HQ and the concerned officer in HQ is on leave for 5 days. Later when questioned as to who had asked for the aadhar card copy in the absence of concerned officer in HQ, he stated that the matter is with him only and not moved to HQ.
In this process we have lost one week inspite of making multiple visits to the customer care. Also the individual was asked to give his name which he refused stating that this is against the company policy. There were other two reps sitting in the same centre and they also refused to give any details about the individual and one of them left in the middle of the conversation.
Request urgent action for activation of the number and also ensure action is taken against the individual who is trying to misguide the customers and also bring disrepute to Airtel
We tried to reach out to customer care by IVRS however no menu is allowing to reach to the customer care officer.
