Subject: Complaint regarding defective bed, deficiency in service, and unfair trade practice​

I purchased a bed from the Opposite Party after paying the full purchase price through UPI. The seller assured me that the bed would be of good quality and would be properly manufactured and installed.

However, after delivery and installation, I found that the bed was defective and the work was incomplete and of poor quality. Despite repeated requests, phone calls, and messages, the seller has failed to repair, replace, or complete the work. In many instances, the seller has not even responded to my calls.

The seller has accepted full payment but has failed to provide the quality and service that was promised. This amounts to deficiency in service, supply of a defective product, and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Being a senior citizen, I have suffered considerable mental stress, inconvenience, and harassment due to the seller's negligence and irresponsible conduct.

Reliefs Sought​

I respectfully request the Hon'ble Consumer Commission to:

1. Direct the Opposite Party to replace the defective bed with a new defect-free bed or refund the full amount paid.
2. Award compensation for mental agony, harassment, and inconvenience caused to me.
3. Direct the Opposite Party to reimburse the litigation and other incidental expenses.
4. Grant any other relief that the Hon'ble Commission considers just and proper in the interest of justice.
