Respected Sir/Madam,
I am filing this consumer complaint against Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company Limited for its repeated and unjustified rejection of my medical insurance claim relating to my gallbladder surgery for Calculus of Gallbladder with Acute Cholecystitis.
Despite approaching the insurance company's grievance redressal mechanism, the Insurance Ombudsman and other relevant authorities, I have been repeatedly denied a satisfactory resolution. The insurer continues to reject my claim by citing alleged discrepancies in my medical history, allegations that I dispute.
My policy commenced on January 2025 and is valid until January 2027. The insurer issued the policy without conducting medical tests and is now refusing to honour my claim. I consider this conduct arbitrary, unfair and a serious deficiency in service, particularly when I have repeatedly sought a fair review of my case.
The continuous rejection of my claim has caused me considerable financial hardship, mental agony and unnecessary distress during an already difficult medical situation. Repeatedly approaching grievance authorities without obtaining a satisfactory resolution has left me with no effective option but to seek justice before the Hon'ble Consumer Commission.
I therefore request the Hon'ble Commission to direct the insurance company to honour and settle my admissible claim in accordance with the policy terms, award appropriate compensation for mental harassment and financial loss, reimburse the costs of litigation, and grant any other relief deemed fit and proper.
I seek justice against this unfair treatment and request the Hon'ble Commission to hold the insurer accountable for its actions.
