I am posting my experience with Liberty Vacations International (Liberty Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.) to seek guidance from consumer experts and to make other consumers aware of my experience.
On 08/08/2025, I purchased a 3-year holiday membership from Liberty Vacations International after attending their sales presentation. I paid ₹61,000 based on the representations and assurances given by their sales representatives, Mr. Ankit and his manager, Mr. Pradeep.
However, after returning home and reviewing my financial situation, I decided that I could not continue with the membership.
On 09/08/2025, within one day of purchasing the membership, I informed the sales representative through WhatsApp that I wished to cancel the membership due to financial constraints and requested a full refund. On the same day, I also sent an email requesting cancellation.
On 10/08/2025, during the welcome call from Liberty Vacations, I again clearly informed their representative that I did not wish to continue with the membership.
Despite these communications, my cancellation request was not processed. Instead, I was repeatedly persuaded verbally to continue with the membership by offering different assurances and alternatives. Believing that my concerns would be addressed, I continued following up.
Over the next year, I repeatedly contacted the company through emails and WhatsApp requesting cancellation and a refund. I have documentary evidence of these communications.
Recently, the company replied stating that I had been "retained" and had agreed to continue with the membership. I completely dispute this statement. I have repeatedly asked them to provide documentary proof, such as an email, WhatsApp message, signed document, or call recording, showing that I withdrew my cancellation request or expressly agreed to continue with the membership. To date, no such evidence has been provided.
The company is now relying on Clause 5 of the membership agreement, stating that cancellation was permitted only within 10 days. However, my concern is that I requested cancellation within that period itself, yet my request was not processed.
Another issue is that, during the sales presentation, the important terms, restrictions, and cancellation policy were not clearly explained to me. These clauses were relied upon only after I requested cancellation.
During the course of the membership, I also experienced the following issues:
Out of the 3-year membership period, one entire year has already been spent continuously following up with the company instead of enjoying the services that were promised. I have experienced considerable financial loss, inconvenience, and mental stress throughout this process.
I have already filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline and am now preparing to issue a legal notice and, if necessary, file a complaint before the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
I have supporting documents, including:

During the course of the membership, I also experienced the following issues:
- I was informed that the first year's Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) would be waived, but I was later asked to pay AMC.
- The AMC discussed during the sales process was ₹10,500, whereas I was later asked to pay ₹13,500.
- Whenever I attempted to make a booking, the properties highlighted during the sales presentation were unavailable, and I was repeatedly offered alternative lower-rated properties.
- Despite paying ₹61,000, I have not been able to avail even a single holiday.

I have supporting documents, including:
- Membership documents.
- Payment receipt for ₹61,000.
- Cancellation email dated 09/08/2025.
- WhatsApp communications requesting cancellation.
- Subsequent email correspondence with the company.
- The company's replies refusing the refund.
