I purchased an IFB 1.5 Ton Inverter Split Air Conditioner from Aditya Vision Limited, Nawada, Bihar, on 25.04.2023 for ₹47,000 (Invoice No. 12123245I921). The model purchased is IFB 1.5 Ton Inverter Split AC – Indoor Unit: CI20520323G1-1N and Outdoor Unit: CI20520323G1-OUT.
Since the date of purchase, the AC has been facing recurring technical issues. Almost every year, a new problem has occurred, and instead of receiving a reliable product, I have had to get it repaired repeatedly. I have also incurred repair expenses on earlier occasions. Despite spending money on repairs, the AC continues to develop new faults, causing continuous inconvenience, financial loss, and mental harassment.
Recently, the AC stopped cooling, and I registered a complaint with IFB Customer Care. An IFB-authorized technician inspected the unit and informed me that both the Indoor PCB and Outdoor PCB were defective. I was asked to pay approximately ₹5,500 for their replacement.
When I contacted the IFB Area Manager to explain my grievance and the difficulties I was facing, he disconnected my call without listening to my concerns or providing any assistance. Such behaviour is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
The warranty booklet clearly mentions a 5-year ODU PCB warranty. Despite this, I am being asked to pay approximately ₹5,500 for the repair instead of receiving the warranty benefit. I have already contacted IFB Customer Care, sent emails to the company, and informed the dealer, but my issue remains unresolved.
I request IFB to honour the warranty terms, repair or replace the defective parts without any unjustified charges, provide a permanent resolution to the recurring issues, and compensate me for the repeated inconvenience, financial loss, mental harassment, and deficiency in service caused by the poor quality of the product and unsatisfactory after-sales support.
