Details of Complaint​

I am filing this complaint against CARS24 in relation to two disputed charges and the company's failure to provide an appropriate resolution despite repeated attempts to contact its customer support.

I paid INR 942 to initiate an auction process for my car. The auction did not result in a satisfactory price.

Subsequently, a CARS24 representative advised me to make another payment to initiate the auction again, stating that the second auction would help obtain a better price.

As I was asked to make another payment for the same auction-related service, I requested CARS24 to refund the initial INR 942 payment.

In addition to this issue, I discovered a separate charge associated with a Volkswagen Polo bearing registration number KA02MK2299.

I categorically state that this vehicle does not belong to me and I did not request, authorize or receive any service relating to this vehicle.

I therefore dispute the charge and have requested CARS24 to refund the amount charged in relation to this vehicle.

Despite repeatedly attempting to contact CARS24 customer support, I have not received a satisfactory resolution.

Relief Requested​

I request the National Consumer Helpline to kindly take up my grievance with CARS24 and assist in obtaining:

  1. Refund of INR 942 paid for the initial auction.
  2. Refund of the incorrect charge associated with VW Polo KA02MK2299.
  3. A written explanation from CARS24 regarding how a vehicle that does not belong to me was associated with my account.
  4. Confirmation that the incorrect vehicle association and any related charges have been removed.
  5. Appropriate resolution of my grievance and any other relief considered appropriate under applicable consumer protection provisions.
