I am filing this complaint against Sylph Consultancy for fraudulent practices, misrepresentation, and complete non-performance of promised services.

Details of the Transaction:

  • ₹6,300 paid on 20th May 2025 towards magazine feature
  • ₹3,000 paid on 25th May 2025 towards cover page
  • Total Paid: ₹9,300
Promises made by Sylph Consultancy (verbal & written):
  • Wide magazine distribution and brand promotion
  • Dedicated team of 4 designers + 1 design head for professional feature layout
  • A professionally curated magazine, not a template/presentation format
  • Publishing timeline: end-June / early July 2025, aligning with my brand’s 5-year anniversary (7th June 2025)
Actual Experience (Deficiency of Service):
  • No calls or follow-ups after payment, despite repeated reminders
  • Drafts delivered were unprofessional, poorly designed, and below industry standards
  • Emails and WhatsApp messages were ignored
  • Contact person (Ms. Muskan Jindal) stopped responding, no official handover provided
  • Demanded extra charges for layout/edits that were originally promised
  • As per their own admission (messages dated 5th July 2025), the project never moved forward to publishing, even after two months of delay
Legal Grounds:
  • Indian Contract Act, 1872 (Sec. 37 & 39): Failure to perform contractual obligations
  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (Sec. 2(11) & 2(47)): Deficiency of service and unfair trade practices
  • A “non-refundable” clause is invalid where no service has been delivered.
Additional Concern:
I have withdrawn all consent for publication. Any unauthorized use of my brand, logo, content, or likeness by Sylph Consultancy will amount to infringement and misrepresentation.

Relief Sought:

  1. Full refund of ₹9,300
  2. Compensation for mental harassment, delay, and loss of business opportunity (since the feature was tied to my brand’s reputation & milestone)
  3. Costs of pursuing this complaint
