Dear Airtel Customer Support,

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding unauthorized changes to my Airtel Black plan, leading to unexpected charges and service discrepancies. My registered number is 9*****9.

Name- TARUN KUMAR MITTAL

Email id- tarunmittal*****@gmail.com

Initially, I was subscribed to the Rs. 999 + GST Family Plan, which included:

  • 3 Add-on SIMs with unlimited calling & SMS
  • 1 Data pack SIM
Later, when I added DTH service, Rs. 411 was added to my bill, making the total Rs. 1178 + Rs. 439 (DTH charges).

Issue Details:

  1. Unauthorized Plan Change & Billing Issue
    • In October 2024, I requested changes to my WiFi plan, and I was informed that my new bill would be:
      Rs. 999 (Family Plan) + Rs. 699 (WiFi) + Rs. 411 (DTH) = Rs. 2109 + GST.
    • However, my plan was changed without my consent to:
      Rs. 1199 (Family Plan) + Rs. 699 (WiFi) + Rs. 411 (DTH) + Rs. 150 (Add-on Charges) = Rs. 2459 + GST.
    • The family plan change was never communicated to me, and my charges increased unnecessarily.
  2. Incorrect Data Benefits & Extra Charges
    • As per the Rs. 1199 + GST Family Plan, I was supposed to receive 190GB of data per month, but I did not receive the correct data allocation. I have never received the exact count of data as per the plan.
    • Due to this issue, my data was exhausted last month, and I was unfairly charged Rs. 240 for an additional 30GB.
  3. Customer Support Negligence
    • Despite multiple calls to 121, my complaint was ignored, and no resolution was provided.
    • This lack of support has caused significant inconvenience.
I consider this a case of fraudulent billing and service manipulation. If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Consumer Court for the fraud committed by Airtel

  • Rs 150 extra has been charged in the new plan for my add-on internet sim which was earlier free as per the family plan
  • I am attaching the proof of the plan details as per Google and also my Airtel thanks app proof where the count that was delivered to me this month is mentioned.
  • The dates are 7th Feb, 8th Feb, and 25th Feb. I am attaching the proofs of ticket no. when it was created and also when it was closed without resolution.
  • I don't have the exact date of "when I added DTH service, Rs. 411 was added to my bill", but the date of creating the Airtel black Plan is 27th September when I asked Airtel to combine all my connections and create an Airtel Black plan. Still, they changed my Postpaid plan without informing us, no message was received regarding the change in the postpaid plan.
  • As per the Trai Act, the company cannot change the old plan of any customer even if the company closes that plan.
  • I am attaching the proof of my old plan and the plan which was later changed.
