Hi,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent experience with Reliance Digital, Chakdah Branch, which has caused me significant financial loss, inconvenience, and mental harassment.

Below is the complete timeline of events:
However, on the night of 4 July 2026, I received a call from the store informing me that they actually did not have stock and requested that I cancel my order. I clearly refused because the order had already been accepted and payment had been successfully processed. I was then assured that they would arrange the stock.
To my complete surprise, on 5 July 2026, I received an SMS stating that my order had been cancelled, followed by a cancellation invoice.
The order was cancelled without my knowledge, without my consent, and without any prior approval from me.
This is completely unacceptable.
If the product was not available in stock, why was I asked to travel such a long distance to place the order? Why was full payment accepted? Why was I assured of delivery within 3–4 days?
This raises serious concerns about your inventory management and business practices. It appears that orders are being accepted without verifying actual stock availability, resulting in unnecessary inconvenience and harassment to customers.
Because of this incident, I have suffered the following:
I therefore request the following:
If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily within the earliest possible time, I will be compelled to file a formal complaint before the Consumer Commission (Consumer Forum) and pursue all remedies available under applicable consumer protection laws for deficiency in service, unfair trade practices, and customer harassment.
So I mailed this to them. They took 72 hours time today is last day and didn’t respond till now

- On 2 July 2026, I contacted the Reliance Digital Chakdah Branch over the phone to confirm the availability of the Sony PlayStation 5. Before calling this branch, I had already contacted multiple Reliance Digital stores, and most of them informed me that they either had no stock or that the available units had already been booked by other customers.
- The Chakdah Branch staff specifically informed me that the PlayStation 5 was available and advised me to visit the store as soon as possible because the stock was running out. Since the store is approximately 50 km away from my residence, I was unable to visit on the same day.
- On 3 July 2026, I took leave from my office solely to visit your Chakdah Branch. I travelled nearly 2 hours to reach the store, waited for around 2 additional hours, and finally placed my order for the Sony PlayStation 5.
- I paid ₹52,240.50 using my ICICI Bank Credit Card, and the amount was converted into EMI at the store. After completing the purchase, I travelled another 2 hours back home.

- Approximately 4 hours of travel (around 100 km round trip) were wasted.
- Travel expenses and other associated costs were incurred unnecessarily.
- My credit card limit of ₹52,240.50 is currently blocked because the transaction had already been converted into EMI, and the refund process will take time. This has affected my ability to use my credit card for other essential purchases.
- I have experienced considerable mental stress, frustration, and inconvenience due to your negligence and unauthorized cancellation of my order.
I therefore request the following:
- Immediate clarification regarding why my order was cancelled without my consent.
- Immediate arrangement and delivery of the Sony PlayStation 5 at the original booked price.
- Appropriate compensation for the financial loss, travel expenses, wasted leave from work, blocked credit limit, and mental harassment caused by this incident.
