On August 13, 2025, I purchased a dress from Diamondlady which ultimately did not fit. Because the company could not provide any alternative designs in my required size, I requested a formal refund of the purchase price. The company refused this request by citing a "no refund" policy and instead compelled me to accept a store credit note, which was issued on September 3, 2025.
Throughout the entire duration of its validity, this credit note remained technically non-functional on the company’s website. Despite my immediate and repeated notifications regarding this technical failure, the company refused to rectify the issue. Instead of fixing the digital credit I was forced to accept, the company representatives attempted to pressure me into placing manual orders via phone or email for items I did not want. When I reiterated my request for a refund due to the lack of suitable inventory, the company denied me again and instructed me to wait for new collections, despite the credit note having a fixed expiry date of March 9, 2026.
In an attempt to resolve this fairly, I sought assistance through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH). The company chose to ignore the official communications sent by the NCH, leading the helpline to advise me to file a formal legal complaint. I exercised extreme patience by waiting until the very last day of the credit’s validity for the company to provide a functional solution. However, as of March 9, 2026, the company allowed the credit to expire completely while it was still broken.
The company now remains in possession of my full payment while I have received no product and hold no remaining credit. This sequence of events demonstrates a clear intent to use unfair policies and technical errors to retain customer funds illegally. I am therefore filing this complaint to recover my original payment in full, along with additional compensation for the significant mental stress, and loss of time caused by the company’s persistent deficiency of service. I request the court to intervene and ensure the restoration of my funds plus interest.
