Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. for deficiency in service, unfair trade practices, and the harassment I have experienced in relation to my Jio AirFiber connection.

Details of the Incident:

  1. Delayed Installation and Coercive Activation
    I had booked a Jio AirFiber connection with an assured installation timeline of one week. Despite multiple follow-ups, the installation was not completed, and the staff behaved discourteously. When I requested cancellation due to the delay, the company activated the connection without actual installation, seemingly to avoid issuing a refund, thereby compelling me to continue with the service.
  2. Improper and Incomplete Installation
    The installation was carried out in my absence without my consent or supervision. The wiring has been placed through a door frame in such a manner that the door cannot be closed. Additionally, the cable provided is of inadequate length to reach the appropriate installation point, rendering the setup highly inconvenient and impractical.
  3. Unprofessional Conduct by Staff
    The sales representative who handled my booking was present at the time of installation but allegedly prevented the technicians from executing the installation properly. Subsequently, upon contacting him, he claimed that he was no longer associated with Jio and abruptly disconnected the call, reflecting a lack of accountability and professionalism.
  4. Failure to Address Complaints
    • Service Request No. SR0000340RBB (dated 21 April 2026): Closed by Jio on 24 April 2026 without any resolution.
    • Service Request No. SR000034DK0J (dated 25 April 2026): Still pending. The technicians have repeatedly disconnected calls and have inaccurately updated the status as “OTP validation pending” without attempting resolution.
Prayer for Relief:

In view of the mental distress caused and the unusable condition of the service for which I have already paid, I respectfully request the Hon’ble Forum to:

  • Direct Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. to complete the installation properly, ensuring adequate wiring and functionality at no additional cost.
  • Direct the company to provide a pro-rata extension of the prepaid plan for the period during which the service remained unusable.
  • Impose appropriate penalties on the company for the unprofessional conduct, negligence, and harassment caused by its staff.
I have enclosed the booking receipt and screenshots of the service requests for your reference.
