I HAVE BEEN SOLD A PRE ACTIVATED / REFURBISHED / REDMI 8 MOBILE PHONE BY FLIPKART.
I had placed an order for redmi 8 64gb variant phone on flipkart dt 26.04.26, the phone was delivered to me and it was working fine.
The phone stopped working on 03.06.26 and I visited Vaishali Service Centre, Ghaziabad, UP on 04.06.26.
The Front desk Executive said the phone is not repairable under warranty as it is refurbished and pre activated.
I spoke to Flipkart and they said to send a Service Denial / No Serviceable letter from Mi.
I wrote to Mi and in response after persuasion they sent me a mail on 08.06.26 stating this "We would like to inform you that, as per the invoice IMEI number 869155040182026 shared by you, the activation date of the device is 27/09/2020. Accordingly, the device is currently outside the applicable warranty period.
Further, as the device was purchased through an e-commerce platform (Flipkart), the original purchase records are not available with us. Therefore, we kindly request you to contact the point of purchase directly for any further clarification, resolution, or assistance regarding this matter."
I wrote to flipkart grievance cell back and they said they will resolve the issue with in 24 to 48 hours, nothing happened, then on recontacting they said they will resolve the issue before 13.06.26 (mail received from Flipkart attached)
In between I spoke to the Esclation team member Ms. Shikha on 09.06.26 at 1600 Hrs and she said it will be resolved on or before 14.06.26 (mail received from Flipkart attached)
On no response I reconnected to Greivance cell on 12.06.26 on phone and again I was told that my issue will be resolved in next 24 to 48 hours.
Again sent the Denial Mail sent by MI to Flipkart on June 17th. No response Received.
REPEATED REMINDERS SENT NOTHING HAPPENED.
A reminder sent again today and they have sent a mail stating your issue will be resolved by 27th.
