I availed Uber Cab from Acharya Niketan, Mayur Vihar Delhi to my son's residence in Sector 144 Noida. I tried to pay by Paytm but due to some network issue on the phone, the payment was not through. Then I paid by cash to the driver. But when I reached home the WiFi activated and triggered digital payment twice. It means I paid three times for a trip. The cab aggregator Uber is not refunding the money. I havce written to them many times. please tell me how can get the extra money back.

This is a very serious problem and increasing day by day as the usages of App payments is increasing.

The first step is to contact the Uber cabs via email (support@uber.com), so that you have solid evidence that you have already escalate the issue with the Uber Customer Care.

You need to mention your trip details and the complete story, wait for their reply.

And if you will not receive any response then contact us back.

I have written to support.uber and also to their grievance redressal cell. I have been receiving the same reply every time from them. They say that payments made to the driver is out of their system. They are not giving me the mobile number of the driver telling me that it is the privacy of the company and they will not share the driver's number once the trip is completed.
I have attached my bank statement showing the amount transferred from my account to the YES Bank account of the driver and the system generated receipt of cash which I paid to the driver. They are not refunding my hard earned meagre military pension from which I made the payments. I have also written to NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) as suggested by Uber grievance cell that the amount of Rs.390/- has been transferred twice by mistake to the driver's account. But NPCI has not replied at all.
I even visited YES Bank branch in Noida to know the mobile number of the driver Virendra S/O Pratap. They also didn't help me.
Please suggest the method by which I can get my money back.

We have gone through your complaint and suggest you to file a case in Consumer Forum. Ask for the refund of extra charges and compensation of Rs. 25000/- and the cost of filing the case Rs. 5000/-.
