Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Rajdeep Das, hereby submit this complaint against the Opposite Party for unfair trade practices, excessive and non-transparent charges, and harassment.
That I had availed a short-term loan from the Opposite Party, which was structured for a very short duration of approximately 15 days.
That the repayment amount demanded by the Opposite Party was disproportionately high compared to the loan amount, effectively resulting in extremely excessive charges within a very short time period.
That the Opposite Party failed to clearly disclose the actual cost of borrowing, including the effective rate of interest, penalties, and additional charges at the time of loan disbursal.
That such practices are misleading in nature and place the borrower under financial distress, amounting to exploitation and unfair trade practice.
That upon delay, the Opposite Party engaged in harassment through repeated calls, unprofessional communication, and pressure tactics for recovery.
That despite raising concerns, the Opposite Party has not provided any transparent justification for the excessive repayment amount.
Such conduct amounts to deficiency in service, unfair trade practice, and mental harassment.
PRAYER
In view of the above, I respectfully pray that this Hon’ble Commission may kindly:
a) Direct the Opposite Party to revise the repayment amount to a fair and reasonable level
b) Declare the excessive charges as unjust and arbitrary
c) Direct the Opposite Party to cease all harassment and unfair recovery practices
d) Award compensation for mental harassment and financial distress
e) Pass any other order deemed fit in the interest of justice
