Subject: Complaint Against Eureka Forbes – Defective/Burnt Robo Vacuum, Refusal of Refund and Severe Mental Harassment

I am filing this complaint against Eureka Forbes regarding a Robo vacuum/mop cleaner purchased by me for ₹68,000. The product has suffered repeated problems and ultimately overheated, burnt/melted and became non-functional. Despite the seriousness of the issue, Eureka Forbes has refused to provide a refund and is repeatedly insisting that I accept repair.

Complaint No.: CM-310726-76132863
Customer ID: 6006702803
Amount Paid: ₹68,000

I request the National Consumer Helpline to intervene and help me obtain a full refund of ₹68,000, along with appropriate compensation for the mental agony, harassment, inconvenience and loss of time caused to me.

I have supporting evidence including the invoice, photographs, videos, service records, emails and WhatsApp communications and am ready to submit them.

The product suffered a serious burning/melting incident, and I do not feel safe accepting another repair. Despite repeated escalation to Eureka Forbes service personnel, managers and the escalation team, my genuine concerns have not been satisfactorily addressed.

The prolonged delay, repeated follow-ups, refusal to provide a refund and insistence on repair despite the safety-related failure have caused me considerable mental stress, emotional distress, harassment and loss of time.

I therefore request NCH to direct Eureka Forbes to:

1. Provide a full refund of ₹68,000.
2. Stop forcing me to accept repair of a product that has already suffered a burning/melting failure.
3. Provide appropriate compensation for the mental agony, harassment, inconvenience and loss of time caused to me.
4. Provide a fair and final resolution to this matter.

1. Defective product and serious safety concern

I purchased the Eureka Forbes Robo vacuum/mop believing that I was purchasing a reliable and safe product from a reputed company. However, the product developed repeated problems while under warranty.

On 14 June 2026, the unit suffered a serious incident where it overheated/burnt and melted, making it unsafe and unusable. The issue is not merely a minor technical defect. A product that has overheated and burnt raises a genuine concern regarding electrical safety, fire hazard and further damage to property.

The service personnel inspected the unit and witnessed the burnt/melted condition themselves.

2. Unreasonable delay and poor service

I repeatedly contacted Eureka Forbes for a resolution. Despite my continuous follow-up, it took approximately 33 days for the inspection/service process to happen.

The service manager Mr. Ayyappa and service personnel Mr. Shrikant inspected the unit and were aware of the burnt condition. The roller brush was subsequently replaced, but this did not resolve my concerns regarding the underlying defect or safety of the product.

I was also not given any satisfactory assurance or guarantee that the same problem would not occur again or that I would be protected if the repaired unit caused further damage.

3. Repeated escalation and refusal to refund

Since the product is expensive, repeatedly failed, and has already suffered a burning/melting incident, I requested a full refund of ₹68,000 instead of accepting another repair.

However, despite providing videos, photographs, invoice and other evidence, Eureka Forbes has repeatedly refused my refund request.

Their escalation team has continued to insist that the only option available is repair and that a refund is "beyond policy."

I have also been told that the unit may be picked up and sent to a centralized repair hub for inspection and repair. I do not consider this an adequate resolution after the product has already burnt/melted and caused serious safety concerns.

4. Mental harassment and trauma

This entire matter has caused me severe mental stress, anxiety, emotional distress and trauma.

I purchased this product with my hard-earned money and trusted the company. Instead of receiving a safe and reliable product, I have had to spend a considerable amount of time repeatedly calling, messaging and emailing different representatives and explaining the same issue again and again.

I have been forced to continuously follow up with service personnel, managers and escalation teams instead of the company taking responsibility and providing a proper resolution.

The repeated delays, conflicting responses, refusal to consider my refund request and the manner in which my genuine safety concerns have been handled have caused me considerable mental agony and harassment.

I am a consumer who paid ₹78,000, which is a substantial amount of money for my family. I should not be forced to accept a repaired product after it has already overheated, burnt and melted, particularly when I have genuine concerns regarding its safety and reliability.

5. Conduct of Eureka Forbes representatives

I have approached several levels of Eureka Forbes, including service personnel, service managers and the escalation team. I have repeatedly requested a fair resolution.

I was also communicating with Mr. Dilip Gupta from the Eureka Forbes Escalation Management Team, who informed me that the company would not process a refund because it was not in line with their policy and that the option available was repair.

When I expressed my concerns regarding the seriousness of the defect and the consequences of accepting another repair, I continued to receive responses insisting on repair rather than addressing my request for a refund.

A company policy should not be used to deny a consumer a fair remedy where the product has suffered a serious defect and safety-related failure.

6. Relief requested

I therefore request the National Consumer Helpline to intervene and help me obtain the following:

1. Full refund of ₹68,000 paid by me for the defective Robo vacuum/mop.
2. No further forced repair or replacement of the defective unit as the product has already suffered a serious burning/melting incident.
3. Appropriate compensation for the mental agony, harassment, inconvenience and loss of time caused to me due to the repeated failures, delays and handling of my complaint.
4. Appropriate action regarding the company's failure to provide a satisfactory resolution despite repeated escalation.
5. A direction to Eureka Forbes to take responsibility for the defective product and provide a fair consumer remedy rather than repeatedly forcing me to accept repair.

I am submitting the available invoice, photographs, videos, service records, emails, WhatsApp communications and other supporting evidence along with this complaint.

I sincerely request the National Consumer Helpline to intervene because I have already made repeated attempts to resolve this directly with Eureka Forbes, but the company has not provided a satisfactory resolution.

I purchased this product with my hard-earned money. I have already suffered enough due to the defective product, repeated service issues, delays and mental agony. I request that I be released from this matter by providing a full refund of ₹6IMG-20260614-WA0002.jpg8,000 and appropriate compensation for the harassment and inconvenience caused to me.
