I booked 4 one-way tickets from Mumbai to Almaty (Kazakhstan) for 20th September 2025 on Air Astana (Economy Plus class). Total paid: Rs 96,300 (Rs 24,075 each). I cancelled 2 tickets about 5-6 days before travel.
Air Astana policy: for economy Plus fare - Zero cancellation charges.
EaseMyTrip lied and deducted:
• Rs 5,354 per person fake "airline charges" → Rs 10,708
• Rs500 per person "EMT charges" → Rs 1,000
• Rs999 per person "convenience fee" → Rs 1,998
Total illegal deduction: E13,706. They forced me to accept by citing fake "E3 O3 charges" and threatening total loss. I got only Rs34,444 back at that time. and they convinced me by saying fake things
On 14th April 2026, when I contacted the airline Air Astana confirmed no cancellation fee at all. When I confronted EaseMyTrip, they kept convincing me that the airline had not given the money to them,
For weeks after that, they kept saying "wait 48 hours" but did nothing. Finally they credited firstly 10000 after saying them about consumer court then again after complaining they provided 3996 to EMT wallet, in total they gave Rs 13,996 to their wallet, not to my bank account - without my consent. I had to redeem it myself, still waiting for cash.
When I asked for compensation for 7 months of mental harassment, they said: "We didn't charge convenience fees - that waiver is our compensation." and when I asked about the thing that why they did not provided money after 7 months also then they claimed they didn't know because so many transactions happen - so they said they were unaware. Then I asked them to give me proof from the airline that they had actually refunded the money to the ease my trip before few days ago after complaining of me, then Instead of giving clear proof, they twisted their words and did not provide any proper information.That is wrong.
Waiving an illegal fee is not compensation for lying and delaying.
Please help. I want:
1. Rs 35,000 compensation for mental harassment.
2. Rs 5000 for my time and effort.
3. And I redeemed the wallet returned money before 8 days ago still it was not reflected in my bank account. And they did not returned my money to original payment mode.
