I did initiate a return request on Zara app for my shoes two days back. Yesterday I got a message that since you're not available for pick up your request is rescheduled for the next day even though I didn't receive a single call from the delivery guy that day. Today I got a call from the delivery guy that he is reaching my location for the pickup. I left my office just to give him the parcel.
As soon as I reached home, I called delivery person to come and get the parcel, he told me come down and give the parcel I won't come upstairs to take the parcel. I insisted him to come up since I was having fever, and every time delivery person has come up to take the parcel. Instead of coming up he started misbehaving with me and told give your parcel to someone who can come up, and I won't take your parcel also he abused me, disconnected my call and stopped picking up my call.
I called him again and instead of taking my parcel he told do whatever you want to do I don't care.
This is the worst harassment I have ever felt from any courier company.
Still my issue is unresolved, status of my return parcel is showing as cancelled without discussing with me.

Steps to Address the Undelivered Shipment

Steps before filing case in the Consumer Forum

Contact the DELHIVERY support team

Draft a detailed complaint outlining the shipment details, the value of the goods, and the losses incurred due to the non-delivery. Send this complaint to Delhivery's customer support at whistle_blower@delhivery.com, chairpersonac@delhivery.com. Ensure you retain copies of all communications for your records.

This step not only gives a chance to the DELHIVERY support team to address the issue but also helps strengthen your case if you decide to file a complaint with the Consumer Forum later.

Please wait for a reasonable time for their response. If they do not respond or fail to resolve the matter satisfactorily, feel free to reach out to us again. When you do, kindly include a copy of your email to them and any response (if received), so we can guide you on the next steps.

Case Highlights
Himachal Pradesh - Kangra
- Delhivery V/S Ayushi

Brief facts giving rise to the present complaint are that the complainant had availed the service through online platform (DELHIVERY Direct Express) by placing an order of picking up package containing clothes, personal items and consumables from the chain branch of opposite party at Paprola, Tehsil Baijnath, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh for delivering the package at the named address i.e., Modani Nest, 823, 2" Floor, 16 A main road, 23B cross road, sector 3, HSR layout, Bangalore, Karnataka-560102 on 18™ of April, 2024 for Rs.872/-. The estimated delivery date of the said order was 24™ April, 2024. The complainant's father had delivered the said package at the chain branch of opposite party at Paprola on 19™ April, 2024. When the complainant checked the status of shipment online it was in transit even after the expected date of delivery i.e. 24™ April, 2024. There was no intimation at the end of opposite party as to the delay of shipment. The shipment arrived at Bangalore Delhivery facility on 6™ May, 2024 and the package was out for delivery on 7*" May, 2024. At last after waiting for such a long duration, she had to cancel the shipment delivery as she was not present at Bangalore on 7™ May, 2024 in order to receive the package. The complainant raised a ticket and she & her father sent numerous e-mails to customer support of opposite party with respect to the delay in delivery of the shipment, but to no avail.

Order
Accordingly, the complaint is allowed and opposite party is directed to pay compensation to the complainant to the tune of Rs.40,000/-, besides litigation cost quantified as Rs.10,000/-.
