Dear Team,
This is Abhishek, and I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding an iPhone 17 that I purchased from GV Mobile Shop, Jalgaon, on Saturday, 8 August.
On the same Saturday night, at around 11:00 PM, I noticed a dent near the charging port of the phone. Since it was already late, I did not contact the retailer at that time. However, on Sunday morning, I immediately called the mobile shop owner and informed him about the issue.
The shop owner told me that he was travelling outside Jalgaon and asked me to visit the shop on Monday and show him the phone. Accordingly, I visited the shop on Monday and showed him the dent. He also inspected the phone and acknowledged that there was indeed a dent.
As I was travelling to Pune within the next two days, the retailer advised me to visit the Apple Authorised Service Centre at Kopa Mall, Pune, and get the phone inspected. Following his instructions, I visited the service centre and showed them the device.
The Apple Authorised Service Centre inspected the phone and confirmed that the damage was a cosmetic/physical dent. I was informed that since the phone was purchased in this condition and the issue was identified immediately, the replacement would need to be handled by the retailer/reseller. I was also informed that the device is otherwise functioning properly, but the physical damage needs to be addressed through the seller.
I have also contacted the service centre multiple times, and each time I have been advised to approach the reseller for replacement.
Unfortunately, I am currently facing a coordination issue between GV Mobile Shop, the distributor, and the concerned company representatives. The retailer is directing me towards the distributor, while the matter is not being resolved. Meanwhile, I am the customer who has purchased a brand-new phone and has been suffering because of a physical dent that was present from the time of purchase.
I would like to clarify that:
I am not asking for a repair of a brand-new device. I purchased a new iPhone, and I expect to receive a device in proper, undamaged condition.
I am ready to provide the purchase invoice, photographs/videos of the dent, Apple Authorised Service Centre inspection details, and any other documents required.
I request you to please treat this matter as urgent and provide me with a clear resolution at the earliest.
Regards,
Abhishek
