Subject: Complaint Against JioMart for Delivery of Damaged and Inedible McCain French Fries and Refusal to Provide Refund

I placed an order for McCain French Fries through JioMart on 28th October 2026, and the product was delivered on the same day.

However, when we opened the packet on 31st October 2026, we were shocked to find that the product was in an extremely खराब and damaged condition. The French fries were completely unfit for consumption and were not in an edible condition at all.

We immediately raised a complaint with JioMart, expecting a reasonable resolution. However, instead of addressing the issue, their customer support informed us that the complaint window/opening window had already closed.

This response is completely unreasonable and unacceptable.

The product was delivered on 28th October, but that does not mean a customer is obligated to open and inspect a frozen food packet immediately upon delivery. We opened it when we intended to use it, and only then discovered that the product was damaged and unfit for consumption.

How can a customer be denied a refund or replacement simply because the defect was discovered after the so-called complaint window? The quality and condition of a sealed food product cannot always be assessed at the time of delivery.

I am attaching photographs and videos of the damaged product as evidence.

I consider this a case of poor product quality and unsatisfactory customer service. I request JioMart to:

1. Issue a full refund for the defective McCain French Fries.
2. Investigate the quality of the product supplied.
3. Review its complaint-handling policy, particularly in cases involving defective or inedible food products.

Customers should not have to bear financial losses for defective products supplied by a seller. Rejecting a genuine complaint merely on the grounds of a closed complaint window is not an acceptable way to resolve consumer grievances.

I expect JioMart to take responsibility and provide a prompt and satisfactory resolution.
