My father, Mr. Mohinder Singh (Mobile No. 9034325733), purchased an Eastman Solar Smart Max 6100 (48V) inverter from Taneja Electronics, Red Cross Market, Opp. Telephone Exchange, Karnal (Dealer Contact: +91 94163 62430) on 27.05.2026 for ₹44,500. At the time of purchase, the dealer assured us that the inverter was equivalent to a 6 kVA model and would provide approximately 5 kVA output for household use. Relying on these representations, we purchased the product. However, after installation and use, we discovered that the inverter actually delivers only about 3.5 kVA output, which is far below what was promised and is insufficient for our household requirements. As soon as we became aware of this issue, we immediately approached the dealer and requested an exchange of the inverter with the promised model, but the dealer refused to exchange the product and kept giving false assurances that the issue would be resolved. Thereafter, we repeatedly contacted Eastman Inverter Service Center (Mobile No. +91 94668 67756) as well as Eastman Customer Care and lodged several complaints. Eastman registered our complaint HR26080600647 and informed us that a technician would visit, but despite repeated follow-ups with both the dealer and the service center, neither the product was exchanged nor replaced, and no satisfactory solution was provided. The dealer misrepresented the product at the time of sale by making false claims regarding its capacity and performance, and the manufacturer failed to provide an effective resolution despite repeated complaints. This amounts to misrepresentation, deficiency in service, and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Due to the actions of the dealer and the manufacturer, my father has suffered financial loss, inconvenience, and mental harassment. We therefore respectfully request the Hon'ble Consumer Commission to direct the opposite parties to replace the inverter with the promised 6 kVA model or refund the full purchase amount of ₹44,500 along with appropriate compensation for the financial loss, mental agony, litigation expenses, and any other relief that this Hon'ble Commission deems fit and proper in the interest of justice.
