Subject: Complaint regarding misleading information and non-disclosure of an essential part (Filter Housing)
I purchased a Flavia Live Well Water Purifier (12L) from the salesperson of Novelty Air Conditioners after specifically asking about the replacement of the filter component. The salesperson informed me that the filter would need replacement after approximately 1–1.5 years, but failed to disclose that the Filter Housing was not included with my purchased product and/or was not supplied as represented.
This important information was not disclosed to me before purchase, which influenced my decision to buy the product. I consider this misrepresentation, misleading information and deficiency in service.
Later when I asked about the Filter Housing they said that the specified Filter doesn't come with Filter housing and I need to purchase it separately. If I need to purchase separately then why have I paid Rs. 5500/- for a local purifier.
Now they totally deny that they can't do anything. And even the filter is not working properly it overflows even when the filter is off. It wastes water.
I request the Hon’ble Consumer Commission to direct the seller to provide the required component as represented, or alternatively provide a full refund, along with appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and loss caused to me.
