I placed an order through the Zepto mobile application on [date of order].
The order included the following items (total value ₹387):
Lotus Biscoff Original Caramelized Cookie Family – ₹98
D’lecta Cream Cheese – ₹166
Amul Fresh Cream – ₹67
Amul Salted Butter – ₹56
The amount of ₹387 was paid in full online (copy of bill attached).
However, the delivery partner handed over my prepaid order to an unidentified person on the road, without calling me, verifying my identity, or obtaining my OTP.
When I contacted Zepto customer support, they refused to provide a refund or replacement and stated that they could not help further.
This constitutes deficiency in service and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
4. Grounds for Complaint:
The delivery agent negligently delivered my paid order to a random person.
Zepto failed to resolve the issue despite repeated requests, causing monetary loss and harassment.
The company violated its duty of care and delivery verification protocols.
As a consumer, I am entitled to safe delivery of products or a refund in case of non-delivery.
5. Relief Sought:
I respectfully request the Hon’ble Commission to:
Direct Zepto to refund the full amount of ₹387.
Award compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience, recommended at ₹5,000 or as deemed fit by the Commission.
Direct Zepto to compensate for litigation costs.
