I wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding the unreasonable delay in the installation of my JioFiber connection despite payment being collected in full at the time of booking. On 16 August 2026, a Jio representative visited my residence, completed all formalities, and collected ₹2,200 towards installation and activation. However, even after more than one week, the connection has not been installed.
Since the payment was collected, I have repeatedly contacted customer care and received only generic assurances that installation would be completed shortly. I have also received multiple notifications stating that installation could not be completed due to operational reasons and overwhelming response. The company accepted payment immediately but has failed to provide the promised service within a reasonable period. Such conduct amounts to deficiency in service and causes inconvenience, loss of time, and unnecessary hardship to the consumer.
I therefore request the following:
1. Immediate installation of the JioFiber connection.
2. Confirmation of the installation schedule along with technician details.
3. Written clarification regarding the reason for the prolonged delay.
4. Resolution of this complaint within 48 hours from receipt of this grievance.
In the event that the installation is not completed within the stipulated time, I reserve the right to seek appropriate relief before the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, for deficiency in service and unfair trade practices, along with any compensation deemed appropriate. I request urgent intervention and immediate resolution of the matter.
