Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against a self-drive car rental company for deficiency in service and non-refund of money.
I availed a self-drive car rental service from 25th December 2025 to 27th December 2025. During the rental period, the car developed a technical fault, which made it unsafe and difficult to continue the journey.
As per the company’s responsibility, I immediately contacted their emergency support number and informed them about the issue. Their representative instructed me to hire a local mechanic, get the vehicle repaired, and assured me clearly that the amount paid for the repair would be reimbursed within 24 hours after sharing the bills.
I followed their instructions in good faith, got the vehicle repaired, and paid the mechanic from my own pocket. I shared all required details and bills with the company as instructed.
However, it has now been 4 days, and:
This behavior shows clear negligence, false assurance, and deficiency in service, causing me financial loss and mental harassment.
I request the Consumer Forum to kindly take necessary action against the company and help me obtain:
I am ready to provide all supporting documents such as booking details, payment proof, repair bills, and call records if required.
