I am writing to raise a complaint regarding a refund that I have not yet received from Amazon.
I ordered a Sunderlook Plastic Wardrobe from Amazon on 13 May 2026. The order details are as follows:
During the refund process, I received a call from Amazon customer support, where I was asked to verify my bank account details. I provided the last three digits of my bank account and confirmed them multiple times. However, despite this verification, the refund amount of ₹3,135 was reportedly transferred to an HDFC Bank account ending in ***, which does not belong to me. I do not hold any HDFC Bank account with those details.
Amazon provided me with the following Refund Reference Number (RRN):
614023553599
Following Amazon's instructions, I contacted my bank and inquired about the refund. However, my bank confirmed that no such refund transaction has been received or credited to my account.
I have repeatedly contacted Amazon Customer Service regarding this issue, but my calls are either being placed on hold or no satisfactory resolution is being provided. As a result, I have still not received my refund amount.
I kindly request your assistance in investigating this matter and ensuring that my refund of ₹3,135 is credited to my correct bank account at the earliest.
Additionally, the bank account linked to my Amazon Pay account has the last three digits, which is my Bank of Baroda account. I have successfully received previous Amazon refunds in this same account without any issues.
However, for this particular order, the refund status on Amazon shows that the amount was credited to an HDFC Bank account ending in. I do not own or operate any HDFC Bank account with these details. This indicates that an error has occurred on Amazon's side during the refund process.
Despite repeatedly informing Amazon Customer Service about this discrepancy, they have neither acknowledged the mistake nor provided a proper resolution. As a result, my refund amount of ₹3,135remains unpaid. I respectfully request that this matter be thoroughly investigated and that the refund be credited to my correct Bank of Baroda account linked to Amazon Pay.
