I purchased a 1-ton Haier air conditioner on 03-05-2025. Unfortunately, the AC developed a fault within the first month of use. The issue was identified as PCB failure. After I raised a complaint, the PCB was replaced, but the process took around 15 days.
The AC worked properly only for a few days after the first repair, but the same PCB problem resurfaced. Once again, I had to wait for the PCB to be replaced. At that stage, I requested that the area manager replace the AC because repeated failures of the same part clearly indicated a possible manufacturing defect in the unit. The area manager assured me that if the same issue occurred again, the AC would be replaced.
However, the PCB failed for the third time as well. I had to struggle again to get it replaced, and the process took about 15 to 20 days. By then, the summer season was almost over (September 2025), so the AC was hardly used after that.
Now, in May 2026, when we started using the AC again, it worked for only a few days before the PCB failed once more. I again requested replacement of the AC, but instead of replacing the unit, the company replaced the PCB again. The AC worked for about a month, but it has now broken down again on 18-06-2026. I have already lodged a fresh complaint.
Replacing the same part again and again cannot be treated as a proper resolution. This appears to be a recurring defect, most likely due to a manufacturing fault in the AC itself. My concern is that once the warranty period is over, the company may refuse responsibility, and I will be left with a faulty product despite repeated complaints during the warranty period.
I request Haier to replace the defective AC unit or provide a permanent and reliable resolution instead of repeatedly replacing the PCB. I also request that the warranty be extended suitably, considering the repeated failures and the long periods during which the AC remained unusable.
I request the concerned company officials and consumer forum members to kindly guide me on how to proceed further in this matter.
