I had applied for withdrawal of my EPF amount in March 2021. At that time, I was facing a medical emergency and was in urgent need of funds. The EPF amount was meant to provide financial support during that difficult period, but despite my genuine need, the amount was not released in a timely manner.
Since then, I have continuously followed up with the concerned authorities and made repeated efforts to resolve the issue. I submitted multiple grievances and complaints through different platforms and also filed RTI applications to know the status of my case. Despite all these efforts, the matter remained unresolved.
Further, in the RTI reply, the concerned authority itself admitted that there was a technical issue on their side. Even after such admission, corrective action was not taken and my legitimate dues continued to remain pending.
Due to this prolonged delay, I had to make repeated visits from Sonipat to Karnal and repeatedly approach the concerned offices for resolution. These repeated visits caused financial burden, loss of time, inconvenience and mental stress. I had to spend money and time only to pursue an amount that was legally due to me.
Even after several years of waiting and despite repeated complaints and RTI proceedings, my pending EPF amount along with applicable interest has still not been properly credited. More than one month has passed since the latest developments, yet the payment remains unresolved.
Because of the negligence, delay and deficiency in service on the part of the concerned authority, I have suffered financial loss, mental agony, harassment and unnecessary hardship.
I therefore request that:
My complete pending EPF amount be released immediately.
All applicable interest for the delayed period be calculated and paid.
Appropriate compensation be granted for the financial loss, mental agony, harassment and repeated inconvenience caused due to the prolonged delay and negligence.
