I am writing to urgently escalate a highly frustrating experience regarding a recent ride, a lack of response from your support team, and the subsequent wrongful suspension of my Rapido account.
Here are the details of the ride in question:
Date & Time: 19th May 2026, Night
Pickup Location: Mumbai Airport
Drop Location: Bhandup West
Expected Distance / Fare: ~29 km | ₹1,096
Actual Billed Distance / Fare: ~50 km | ₹1,834
The Issue:
During the journey, the driver (Captain) took several wrong turns and incorrect routes, which artificially inflated the travel distance from the actual 29 km to approximately 50 km. As a direct result of the driver’s errors, my final fare surged from the upfront estimate of ₹1,096 to around ₹1,890.
Subsequent Actions & Lack of Response:
I initially raised a complaint regarding this fare discrepancy through the Rapido app.
Following my in-app complaint, I received a call from a Rapido customer care representative. I explained the entire situation in detail. The representative acknowledged the issue, stated that they would speak with the Captain, and explicitly assured me that the excess amount would be refunded.
Shortly after this phone conversation, I discovered that my Rapido account had been suspended.
Since the suspension, I have been repeatedly trying to reach out to customer support through the app to get this resolved, but there has been absolutely no response or resolution from your team.
It is incredibly unfair that my account has been penalized and blocked simply because I reported a genuine routing error made by your driver an error that your own phone support representative validated and promised to rectify.
Moreover, I am not able to access the account and provide more screenshots. I was only able to take two screenshots.
